Aquamarine is a transparent gemstone quality variety of Beryl that has a transparent light blue/ turquoise colour.
Aquamarine literally means seawater and is often shortened to aqua.
This stone is very popular in jewellery either by itself, with diamonds or set with an assortment of other stones.
